Original City of Houston Certificate of Occupancy

When there have been several previous name changes to an address or if a certificate has never been issued the city requires a full occupancy inspection to update there records.

We file all required paperwork and schedule the inspection at which time they will set up an appointment to visit the address within the next couple of weeks. We will deliver the inspection permit to you the same day.

With this type of inspection the city will send out a building, electrical, mechanical and plumbing inspector who will each perform their own inspections. After the inspections takes place they will send a report to you generally within a week listing all code violations if any. You are given 180 days to correct any violations. Once the violations are corrected and reinspected the city will issue a certificate of occupancy.
